Assignment 1: Critique Notes and Reflection
Here are a few key takeaways from the critique on my website for Assignment 1.
I really valued the outside perspective from my classmates as they reviewed my site. Their feedback helped me notice a few aesthetic adjustments I could make - things like refining the font, color choices, and layout positioning. But the most impactful suggestions were centered on functionality. Several recommended expanding the site by adding more pages, especially to showcase my portfolio. In the long run, I’d like to create dedicated sections for past projects as well as work that’s available for sale.
Overall, the critique was a great learning experience. It gave me a clearer picture of where I stand compared to my peers and, just as importantly, showed me different approaches to building a website. Whether the examples were strong or needed improvement, each one offered insights I can apply to my own site moving forward.
